Dr. Qizhi Gong课题组简介
位于加州大学戴维斯分校医学院细胞生物学与人体解剖学系的Qizhi Gong实验室主要使用小鼠模型并结合当前的分子遗传学、基因组学和影像学方法研究嗅觉上皮细胞对病毒病原体的反应机制、嗅觉上皮与脑神经炎症事件的相互联系、神经退行性疾病模型中调节嗅觉系统发育的分子机制和发病机理等科学问题。

课题组PI简介
Dr. Qizhi Gong (弓奇志)，北大生科1982本校友，1986年毕业于北京大学生命科学学院生物物理学专业，而后获得美国辛辛那提大学医学院神经生物学博士学位，继而在美国洛克菲勒大学和美国西北大学进行博士后研究。现就职于加州大学戴维斯分校医学院细胞生物学与人体解剖学系，任教授、首席研究员。

招聘意向
申请人应于近期获得或即将获得分子神经科学、遗传学或免疫学博士学位，应具有独立完成研究课题的能力（能够独立地设计、完成实验，并分析实验结果），在顶级期刊上发表过第一作者研究论文。热爱科研，力求上进，遵守实验规范，谨守学术道德，具备良好的英文写作和沟通能力及团队协作精神。有先天免疫、病毒学、神经炎症、神经免疫学、基因组学、神经退行性疾病机制等相关研究背景的申请人会优先考虑。

Department of Cell Biology and Human Anatomy
Description:
Two postdoctoral researcher positions are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Qizhi Gong. The Gong lab is a part of the Department of Cell Biology and Human Anatomy in the School of Medicine at the University of California,Davis. We are looking to recruit highly motived scientists (PhD and/or MD required) who will lead our NIH funded effort to investigate molecular mechanisms of innate immune responses in the olfactory epithelium to environmental pathogens and understand impact of neuroinflammation in neurodegenerative diseases.
Minimum Requirements:
• Applicant must have a Ph.D. in molecular neuroscience, genetics or immunology.
• Applicant must have a proven track record of productivity with at least one first authored paper published in peer reviewed journal.
• Applicant must be proficient in basic molecular techniques, mouse genetics, rodent tissue processing and expression techniques.
• Applicant must be motivated to independently pursue and drive their project.
• Applicant must be effective in oral and written communications.
Preferred Requirements
• Research experience in innate immunity, virology, neuroinflammation, neuroimmunology, genomics or neurodegenerative disease mechanisms are preferred.
• Postdocs at early stages are preferred due to funding restrictions.
• Willingness to work in BioSafety Level (1, 2, or 3) facility when necessary.
Responsibilities
• The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in all aspects of the study including study design, performing experiments, data collection and analysis, publication of results.
• The postdoctoral researcher will be required to keep organized labnotes, data files and analysis.
• The postdoctoral researcher is expected to present research findings regularly in lab meetings and joint group meetings.
• The postdoctoral researcher is expected to act in collegial manner and contributes to a positive lab environment.
• Statement of Contributions to Diversity, Equity, and inclusion documented in the application file will be used to evaluate applicants.
